ProdPro, a leading provider of intel on upcoming TV and Film productions, has partnered with IATSE Local 871 to launch ProdPro Network, a new online resource for connecting professionals in the entertainment industry.

New York, NY - ProdPro announces the launch of a new service, ProdPro Network, a platform for connecting productions, crew and vendors in the entertainment industry. Members of Network get access to ProdPro’s exclusive research on upcoming TV and film productions–giving members the insight they need to discover jobs and stay connected with colleagues. By mapping each member’s relationships based on work history, ProdPro Network streamlines how users discover connections to projects in development and starting to prep.

“What distinguishes ProdPro Network from other networking services is our proprietary database and research operation on active and upcoming projects, which currently covers over 10,000 projects,” said Alex LoVerde, co-founder & CEO. “ProdPro Network members get instant access to highly valuable information as soon as they sign up– and will only improve as more organizations and crew join.”

ProdPro is already a leading resource for vendors in the industry, including the largest studio facility operators, rental houses, post houses, payroll companies, agencies, and more. ProdPro’s market insights on industry trends are also well established, being regularly cited by the trades, including The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

For the launch of Network, ProdPro has partnered with IATSE Local 871, the union representing Script Supervisors, Teleprompter Operators, Production Coordinators, Assistant Production Coordinators, Art Department Coordinators, Script Coordinators, Writers’ Room Assistants, and Accountants. Local 871 was selected because their members are often the first role hired by production.

“After the industry work-stoppage last year, we’re eager to give our members more visibility into the productions currently in development. This increased visibility gives Local 871 members greater knowledge and, in doing so, greater control over their careers,” added Patric Abaravich, Business Representative for IATSE Local 871.

ProdPro Network will soon allow productions and studios to directly manage the applicant pool for their projects, giving hiring managers the tools they need to discover and hire the best talent for their production. Several other unions and industry organizations will be joining ProdPro Network this year, and interested organizations can get on the waitlist by reaching out to partnerships@prodpro.com.

“While finding jobs through word of mouth will always be an important part of succeeding in this dynamic industry, there are huge inefficiencies that lead to crew not finding the right jobs, and productions not finding the right crew,” said Jeff Impey, Co-founder and COO of ProdPro.

ProdPro made news earlier this year when they announced the acquisition of Production Leads, a firm specializing in the tracking TV and film data since 1992. ProdPro is backed by Overlook Partners, and the founders, Alex LoVerde and Jeff Impey, previously created the industry standard technology service, SyncOnSet, which earned them each an Emmy Award for Engineering Achievement. SyncOnSet Technologies was acquired by Entertainment Partners in 2020, where LoVerde and Impey served as executives overseeing global partnerships and sales operations.
